Obituary of Geertruida Johanna Slingerland

Slingerland, Geertruida (Trudy) Johanna (Roverts) – Colossians 1:12–14.  On July 6, 2017, at 85 years of age the Lord took home our mother and oma after a courageous battle with cancer.  Predeceased by her husband Gysbert (Gus) in January 2014.  Loving mother of Gerrit and Elaine Slingerland, Marian and Bob Brownlow, William Slingerland, Harold and Janey Slingerland, Brian and Jolande Bruinekool.  Loving oma to Matthew, Kyle, Anick, Chris and Tessa, Janelle, Nicole, Curtis, Josh, Alysha and Alex.  Great-oma to Brayden, Violet and Austin.  Special thanks to HNHB, LIHN, Dr. Marshall and all the palliative support services. 
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 2-4 and 7–9pm at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St.  The funeral service will be held on Monday July 10, 2017 at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation at 2pm, 1142 Lakeshore West, St. Catharines.  Interment at the Vineland Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ebenezer Christian School.
