It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. We take comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord and that we will be reunited with him in the future. Predeceased by Karl, a son whom he missed dearly, he leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Justina, and loving children, John & Kathy Hildebrandt, Gerda & Rudy Klassen, and Silvia & Greg Sarkisian. He was the adored Opa of Brittany & Myles, Cameron & Liz, Daniel, Katherine, Isaiah, Jonathon, Tobin, and Seth. He is also survived by his first great-grandson, Gus James Werner. He will be sadly missed by his twin brother, Gerhard (& Agnes); by his siblings Alfred (& Tina), Sieghard (& Lena), and Ernie (& Linda); and by many close extended family members.
Visitation will take place Sunday, February 4th, at Scott St. Mennonite Brethren Church, 339 Scott Street, from 5 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5th, at the church, following a private family burial service.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee, or to Radiant Care – Tabor Manor. Many thanks to Dr. Bertie and the caring staff at Tabor Manor.
