Donald Andrew MacKenzie

Born May 27, 1924, Don passed away peacefully on February 23, 2018. He was predeceased by his first wife Viola (2000) and by Vivian (2010). He leaves behind his three sons and their families: David and Lynn of Beamsville, Ontario, Paul and Cathy of Pinckney, Michigan and James of Clinton Township, Michigan. He also leaves his daughter-in-law, Laurie of Colorado Springs and nine grandchildren: Laura and Mark Showard of Buffalo, Andy and Emily MacKenzie of Waterloo, Mark MacKenzie of Beamsville, Robyn and Ben Ibach of Canton, Michigan, Karen and Anna Schmidt-MacKenzie of Eugene, Oregon, Mary and Steven Hendershot of Brighton, Michigan, Megan MacKenzie of Los Angeles, California, Cameron MacKenzie, and Keeley MacKenzie both of Colorado Springs. Don was a great-grandfather of ten.  

An RCAF veteran of World War II, Don proudly served his country with 44 years of military and public service combined. Don enjoyed his extended family, his Manitoulin Island heritage, singing and playing his guitar. He was a faithful Christian serving in many congregations in Ontario. Special thanks for the kindness of his friend Thelma Beaton and and the entire staff of the Royal Henley, St. Catharines.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at the Beamsville Church of Christ, 4900 John St. Beamsville. If desired, memorial donations to Great Lakes Christian High School would be appreciated.
