Obituary of Herschel Swanson

SWANSON, Herschel Francis - Passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Welland Hospital. He was born in October 14th, 1941. He was the loving husband of Jo-Anne (Nickerson). Beloved father of Matthew (Lelia) and Peter (Annette). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Roxanne, Avery and Jade. Brother of Carl Swanson (Glenda) and Gaye Impey. Preceded in death by brother Lars Swanson, nephew Jeremy Brown, first wife Barbara Lawrance and daughter Shannon. Greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Hersh will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour and poetry. He loved to write. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Welland Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at VINELAND CHAPEL of TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St. Vineland on Saturday, September 28th at 2pm with reception in the Tallman Fireside Room to follow. If desired, memorial donations made to Niagara Health System Dialysis Unit would be greatly appreciated by the family.
