Obituary of Thomas Fleming

FLEMING, Thomas Shillington - Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Juravinski Hospital on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the age of 58. Tom will be deeply missed by his wife, Jo-Anne; son, Andrew; daughter, Rachel and her husband Chris Buckborough and their three precious children, Jacob, Bryson and Jaxon; Mother, Val; Sister, Peggy Stirman and husband, Greg; brothers, A.D. and his wife Vernah, John and his wife Glynnis and Andy and his wife Tammy; and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his loving father, Arthur Fleming. Tom lived life to the fullest. He was active for many years in the Poultry Industry and in 2014 received the annual lifetime award from the Canadian Hatchery Federation. He was a lifelong member of the Beamsville Church of Christ and was appreciated for his gift of song leading. Tom volunteered for 20 years as a firefighter for Lincoln District 1 and enjoyed many friendships with fellow firefighters over the years. He loved sports, spending time refereeing hockey and playing baseball and golf. Tom will always be remembered for his love of people and life. A celebration of Tom’s life will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Beamsville Church of Christ at 4900 John Street at 1:00 pm. Visitation and a reception will be a combined event at the Church building from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. In memory of Tom, donations may be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton, ON.
