Obituary of Rudolph Dyck

Dyck, Rudolph Henry – 1928 – 2017 - Rudy passed away peacefully at Hospice Niagara on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the age of 89 years.  Beloved husband of Joyce and dear father of Karen Walsh (Gary) Randy, Kim (Barb), Sheri McDougall (Jason), Rudy (Susan).  Grandfather of Matthew (Sarah), Chris, Eric, Kailyn and Connor. Great grandfather of Katie and Zac.  Rudy is survived by brothers Frank, John and Ernie and was predeceased by 8 siblings. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Born in Great Deer Saskatchewan Rudy was the proud owner of Skyway Lumber on Glendale Ave.  Rudy was a member of The St. Catharines Club for many years. He enjoyed playing cards, wintering in Las Vegas and always had a special place in his heart for animals of all kinds.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the staff of Hospice Niagara, CCAC and Dr. Greenway for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Tracy for making him laugh.
Family and friends will be received at the Vineland Chapel of the Tallman Funeral Home, 3277 King Street, Vineland on Thursday, October 12. Visitation will take place at 12:00pm with a memorial service to be held at 1:00pm.  A reception will follow in the Fireside Room.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Hospice Niagara or the Welland County Humane Society would be appreciated.
