Obituary of Clifford Parker

Parker, Harvey - Surrounded with love and adoration with his family at his side on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Albright Manor Nursing Home, Beamsville at the age of 91. He leaves his loving wife of 67 years Olive (Cann). Dearly loved father of Dianne Book and husband Jim of Beamsville, Wayne Parker and wife Helen of La Salle, Gloria Jean Dickie of Niagara on the Lake and Steve Parker and wife Ann of Cambridge. He leaves his son in law Jim Dickie of Campden and 9 grandchildren, Melissa Gibson and husband Dennis of Welland, Darren Book and wife Tina of Meaford, Jeff of North Bay, Heather Lussier and husband Jason of Windsor, Kaitlyn of Windsor, Kerri Ewoniak and husband Steve of Grimsby, Tracy Haymes and husband Garrett of St. Catharines, Jeanette Magurn and husband Ken of Waterloo and Juliana Doxey and husband Dr. Andrew Doxey of Waterloo. Loving great grandfather of 17 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Alf and Emma Parker, sisters, Elsie, Pansy, Annie, Alma and Jean and brothers Allie and Harold. A veteran of World War II, Harvey proudly served his country from 1942-45 before returning and settling in Meaford. He will long be remembered by many as a kind and compassionate man whose quick wit and unique sense of humour warmed the hearts of those that knew and loved him. Harvey will be resting at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King Street, Vineland on Friday 2-4 & 7-8:30pm. Funeral Service to celebrate his life will be held at the Church of Christ, 4900 John Street, Beamsville on Saturday, May 17 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Mount Osborne Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Great Lakes Christian High School would be appreciated by the family.
