HERR, (Anna) Jean - Died peacefully, after more than two years of declining health, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby, ON, on May 10, 2013, in her 92nd year, with sons at her side. Dearly beloved wife of the late Russell Albright Herr (1974). Loving mother of Larry (Cathy) of Horseshoe Valley, and Ronald (Jane Steeves) of Stoney Creek, and special "son" Drew Hickerson. Cherished grandmother of David (Sandra Shimizu-Herr) of Ottawa, Andrew (Colleen McCarthy) of New York City, Sarah and Thomas, both of Horseshoe Valley. Great grandmother of Mackenzie and Grayden of Ottawa, Kate and Quinn of New York City. Predeceased by siblings Melba Reta Graham of St. Catharines, Bruce Paul (Louise) of Vancouver, and Beryl Marguerite Pamplin (William) of Beamsville. Survived by sister H. Mae Cumming (Robert) of Scarborough, and nieces Joan Cumming and Kathryn Cumming, both of Toronto. Jean was the daughter of the late Thomas Leslie Graham and Ida Cressman Moyer. Born in Vineland, ON, in 1922, Jean lived all her life in the St. Catharines area, working there as a dental nurse for many years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered as a caring and dedicated mother and grandmother, a wonderful friend to many, a true animal lover, and an avid gardener. Her long life had many blessings, not the least of which was a clear and sharp mind which she enjoyed until the day she passed away. Jean's family wishes to thank the staff at Albright Manor in Beamsville, where she lived for the past two years, for the outstanding kindness, care and support they provided. Friends and neighbours may pay their last respects and visit with Jean's family at the VINELAND CHAPEL of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St., on Sunday from 6 - 8:30pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, at Tallman's at 11 am with interment in the Vineland Cemetery following the service. As an expression of sympathy and in keeping with Jean's wishes, donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated, in lieu of flowers.
