Obituary of Johanna Gertrude Sloetjes

Sloetjes, Johanna - To our deep sorrow, it has pleased the Lord to take Johanna Gertruida Sloetjes, on Friday, June 8th, 2018, to be with Him in eternity and reunited with her husband Gerrit Jan (1961).  Loving mother of Bill Sloetjes, Erna & Laurent Mermuys, Elizabeth & Bill Ebert.  Loving Oma to Steven, Leanne, Bianca, Ken, Marcelle, Gerian, Annette, Benjamin and Jesse.  Blessed also with 20 great grandchildren.  Dear sister and sister-in-law to Diny Vanderwerff, Wilma Cardol (Tony), Erna Sloetjes (Ben) and Annie Idema.  Predeceased by Derk Sloetjes (Janet), Herman Sloetjes (Margie), Ann & Jake Van Dellan, Gerrie & Jack deJonge, George & Marlene Sloetjes, Tjeerd Vanderwerff, Pieter Idema, Bill Sloetjes (Karen) and John Sloetjes (Irene).

Visitation will be at Providence Christian Reformed Church, 4845 King St., Beamsville, on Tuesday, June 12 beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The Funeral Service will be at 11:00a.m.  Interment at Vineland Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairhavens Christian Retirement Home in Beamsville.
