Obituary of Douglas Charles Farrer

FARRER, Douglas Charles --- On Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at Niagara Health (St. Catharines), in his 82nd year. Son of Hazen Belle Farrer and Grace Elizabeth Farrer (née Black). Beloved husband of the dear late Oliva Margaret Farrer (née Sullivan; 2002). Father of Christopher Douglas Farrer. Brother of the late Ronald Hazen Farrer (2013).

Douglas served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 39 years (1953-1992), earning the rank of Master Warrant Officer. His military service included deployments as a UN peacekeeper in countries such as Egypt, India and Pakistan.

He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law, Muriel, his nephew, Jeff, and his niece, Rhonda. 

Resting at the Vineland Chapel of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King Street, (905) 562-5454 where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3rd between 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, October 4th at 11:00 a.m., with Rite of Committal to follow in Vineland Cemetery.
