Lauretta (Laura) Parkes.

Passed away on Friday March 22nd 2019.

Predeceased by here husband George. 

Survived by son Wayne, daughter Dianne (David).

Laura reached her 100 birthday in January & celebrated a party at St. Alban’s with family & friends, one of her high-lights in her life. Living in the Etobicoke area most of her life & calling St. Mathews Anglican church on Bloor W her church. Laura moved to The Orchard retirement home in Vineland 18 months ago where she then attended St. Alban’s Anglican church in Beamsville.

Laura worked for Avro Arrow in Malton & then Workman’s Compensation Board in Toronto. An avid knitter, every family member would receive a sweater at Christmas. Mom, Nana, Great Nana, Laura, you will be missed. So many stories that you have told over your century of your life. So many memories you leave us & take with you. Now you start your new journey with family members & friends that passed before you, what a reunion. God Bless.

 

St. Alban's Anglican Church,4341 Ontario Street, Beamsville will incorporate a memorial / tribute at the 10:00 am service this coming Sunday.

 

Memorial Service at St. Mathew's  Anglican Church, 3962 Bloor Street W Etobicoke on Saturday April 13th at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to: St.Alban's Anglican Church Beamsville or St. Mathews Anglican Church "OUT OF THE COLD" Bloor W Etobicoke.
