Obituary of Velma Lewis

Lewis, Velma – After a short illness, Velma passed away in the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.  Born September 12, 1924 in Toronto, she was the last of her large Williamson clan.  Predeceased by her son Ian and her beloved husband John.  Always a fabulous mom to Ellen and Catharine (Glen).  The much loved little gramma to Alison, Melanie, Scott, Dylan and Madeleine and great gramma to Linton, Abby and Gage.  Velma will be missed by her wonderful friends in the Cherry Hill community in Vineland.  Her daughters are forever grateful to the Krupa’s and her neighbours for their friendship and support.  We are also very thankful to Care Partners, Visiting Angels and staff at the Greater Niagara General for their compassionate care.

Cremation has taken place.  As per her wishes there will be no funeral service.  In Velma’s memory please eat a dessert, have a glass of wine, share a good book and love your dog.  Online condolences at www.tallmanfuneralhomes.ca
