Lillian Romagnoli

Obituary of Lillian Helen Romagnoli

Romagnoli (Hiscott), Lillian Helen Irene- April 13, 1927-August 11, 2019

Quietly at dawn Lillian set out on her final trip; one she had been peacefully anticipating over the last few months.

Wife of the late Joseph Romagnoli, mother of Owen (Sandra), Colleen (Robert), and the late Ronald (Jeanne) Romagnoli.  Survived by grandchildren John and Tom Logan (Anita), Amy and Katelyn Romagnoli (Drew), Erin (Tom) Hinch and Andrew Romagnoli (Rebecca) as well as great grandchildren Jack, Liam and Maeve Hinch. Sisters-in-law Margaret, Dorothy and Jean Romagnoli, brother-in-law Fred Fracchioni, as well as nieces and nephews from the Hiscott and Romagnoli clan will remember her fondly.  Grand-pets Salem and Juno will miss getting treats from her.

Originally from Smithville, Lillian resided most of her life in Beamsville where she contributed to the fabric of her community in her professional life as a teacher and in her involvement with many organizations: RWTO, the former Lincoln Agricultural Society, Trinity United Church and UCW, Lincoln Seniors’ Citizens, Meals on Wheels, Beamsville Lioness Club, Albright Family Council and more.

Lillian was an unabashed animal advocate and many strays benefited from her love and attention.  A life-long cat person provided her with companionship until her final year; for that reason a donation to your local SPCA/animal adoption centre would be appreciated or to Trinity United Church, Beamsville.

Lillian loved to travel and did so with Joe and her friend Lucy when her health permitted.  She would advise anyone to ‘Plan their next trip’ so think of her when you do.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Tallman Funeral Home, Beamsville. Service to be held at Trinity United Church, 4287 William St., Beamsville on Sunday August 18 at 2 p.m.
