Randy Nunnamaker

Obituary of Randy Nunnamaker

Nunnamaker, Randy - Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Niagara Health System St. Catharines on Thursday June 13, 2013 at the age of 55. Cherished soulmate to Linda for 31 years. Loving and devoted father to Briar, Travis and Neil. He leaves to mourn his dear parents Mac and Shirley, sister Lori and brother David. Survived by his grandmother Della Lampman. Brother-in-law to Kenneth (Erli) Sherk of St. Catharines and sister-in-law Elizabeth (Glenn) Grant of Orono. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy's entire career was spent at Moyer Diebel in Jordan Station. His 2nd career was devoted to the family fruit farm where he unselfishly spent many, many hours assisting in its operation. Randy was passionate about golf, loved "the Habs" and enjoyed many years coaching minor hockey in both Jordan and Beamsville. He was well known for building the most amazing ice rinks in Lincoln! He took so much pleasure in hosting his hockey teams in scrimmages under the stars, bonfire ablaze, hot chocolate for all!! Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-8:30pm. A celebration of Randy's life will take place in the chapel on Monday June 17 at 2pm with reception following in the Tallman Fireside Room. The family would like to thank EMS and the Jordan Fire Department for their quick response. We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Pat - his CCAC nurse, Maureen from his palliative support team and to Jean Guy his "visiting volunteer". Much appreciation goes to Dr. Manjos our most faithful family doctor, the oncology unit in St. Catharines and all of our devoted friends and family whose support has been unwavering in these difficult times. Donations to Wellspring Niagara or McNally House would be appreciated.
