Obituary of Marie Culp

Culp, Ruby Marie (Glintz) - At the age of 83 passed away peacefully on February 26, 2020. Born in Beamsville, Ontario on July 9, 1936.  Marie as she liked to be referred to was one of 12 children of Iva (Hanrahan) and Arthur Glintz. Predeceased by siblings Leonard Alex Glintz, Gordon Iva Glintz, Lloyd George ”POP”(wife Eva), Hazel Emma (Frank “BUD” Quigley), William Roy Glintz, Stanley Merle Glintz, John Russel Glintz, Laverne Glintz (deceased at 3 months old). Surviving siblings are Harley Laverne Glintz, Kenneth Earl Glintz, and Barbara Joan (Elphinstone).

Marie is predeceased by her loving husband Albert Harris (1998). Marie leaves behind two children Kevin (Kathy), and Brian (Lana). Grandchildren from Kevin (Lauren (Mike Pringle), Brennan, Braeden, and Bryson). Grandchildren from Brian, Caitlin and Justin. Additional 3 great-grandchildren Ivy, Evan, and Nolan. Marie adored the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Also, very close to her heart was her niece Susan Quigley (Bill Butt) and her son’s Terry and Alex. Much appreciation to her brother Lloyd’s family, and Rick for riding his bike to visit her at St. Catharines General during her stay since Dec 30th, 2019.  Special shoutout to the staff at St. Catharines General for their care and compassion to Marie and well as her family during her time there.

Cremation is taking place, and a visitation will be held at Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Home, 3277 King Street, Vineland Ontario, on Friday March 13th, from 1pm - 4pm. Private interment will follow for the immediate family.  In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated for the Canadian Cancer Society.
