Obituary of Kathleen Isabel Buckrell

In memory of Kathleen Buckrell 1951-2021

 

Kathleen passed away Thursday May 20/21 in a Bethesda home  in St Catharines

Cremation has taken place arranged by Tallman Funeral  Vineland. Due to covid health and travel restrictions no service will be held at this time but a memorial service will be held in late summer.  

 

Kathleen was born in London Ontario but moved to St Catharines with Family in 1959 . Her parents Don and Margaret Buckrell are predeceased. She is survived by her sister MARGARET ANN HANSEN (Hans predeceased) of Mississauga and  their two sons, Erik Hansen (Nichole) of Mississauga and their 2 daughters Melissa, and Charlotte.  Melissa and Roger also have a daughter Olivia, Making Margaret Ann a Great Grandmother 2nd son Steven Hansen (Kim) of Nipissing and their daughter Hazel and son Soren.

 

 Also survived by  her brother JIM BUCKRELL (Josie) of Burlington and their daughter Tania (Michael) of London England and their 2 sons Theo and Oscar; and by their son Michael  Buckrell(Jamie) of Burlington and their daughter Sofia  and son Simon James.

 

Kathleen enjoyed many drives especially to Niagara Falls and stops at Tim Hortons or McDonalds for coffee or coke.  She had a keen interest in bagpipes and Scotland although she had never been there.  She was small in stature and had many challenges, but she had a unique and had a sweet spirit; She enjoyed many good times, over the years, with family , including her parents and siblings,  the Tilden family , the Bethesda family and Shari Fast a counsellor of 28 years at Ontario Place.

Her family would like to acknowledge the superb loving care provided by the Bethesda organization over several decades and by their high quality staff which they have attracted and retained.
