Obituary of Gary Nicholas Tomka

Gary Tomka - February 13, 1945 - September 16, 2021

Gary went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.  He died peacefully at home with his wife Denise by his side.  He is survived by his wife Denise, his daughter Jennifer Prunty, his son Nick (Jeanette) and daughter Emily (Rob) Sharp, five grandchildren, Connor, Nicole, Taylor, Caroline and William, his sister Paula Inksater and many nieces and nephews.

Gary retired from G. M. After 30 years of service, then followed his heart and went into full time Ministry, he especially loved his time at Treasure House, men’s shelter.

Gary spent many years coaching children from his neighborhood in baseball and hockey.  Gary loved the years we wintered in Florida and the many friends we met. 

A special thank you to Dr. VanRensburg and all the PSW’s that showed so much compassion.

A private family service will be held at a date to be determined.
