Obituary of Elizabeth Enns

Elizabeth (Kliever) Enns, June 21, 1928 -Feb. 4 2022

With gratitude for her Godly and well lived life; we sadly announce the passing of our mother, Elizabeth (Kliever) Enns on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022. Mom was born in Headingly , Manitoba to immigrant parents, Abraham and Katharina Kliever, June 21, 1928., the 3.d of 5 children. She grew up on the family farm, until she married our dad, Neil Enns, in 1952, and together they moved to St. Catharines, where dad was living.

Mom was deeply committed to her faith, family and friends. She was an excellent homemaker, and a caregiver to many, including her husband, Neil who struggled with rheumatoid arthritis for 14 years. After 34 years of marriage, Dad passed suddenly. Mom kept busy hosting dinners, travelling, volunteering and especially doting on her 6 grandchildren. She loved them dearly.

She really enjoyed her involvement with the Christian Benefit Thrift Shop, and many church groups, where she was an active participant.

She is predeceased by her parents, Abraham and Katharina (Goosen) Kliever, sisters, Elsie Becker, Katie Harder, Maggie Driedger, and brother, John Kliever.

She leaves her 3 children, Diann Lepp (Herb), Trudy Enns and Ed Enns (Marianne); 6 grandchildren, Karen, Chris (Laura), and Rob( Jenny), Tanya,(Jesse) Aaron(Ashley) and Julie(Dan), and 13 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Thank you to the staff of Pleasant Manor, Heritage Place, where mom was well cared for the past 9 ½ years.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 8th at 11:00am at St. Catharines United Mennonite Church, 335 Linwell Rd., St. Catharines, with visitation an hour before the service starting at 10:00am. Burial will take place prior to the service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

If desired, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or the Alzheimer's Society. We are thankful that Mom is now fully alive in Christ, totally healed in mind and body. To God be the glory.
