Obituary of Maria Domenica Sider

Maria Domenica Sider (Di Luzio) August 20,1950 – February 6, 2022 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. On February 6th at the age of 71 Maria passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines Hospital.  

Survived by her children Tracy, George (Debbie), Tammy and Mark.  Proud Grandmother to Anessa, Krysten, Cade, Madison, Hunter, Jordyn, Michael, Shawn & Luca. 

Maria was born in Bucchianico (Chieti), Italy on August 20, 1950 to Elvira & Peter Di Luzio. Maria immigrated to Canada in 1955 with her parents and three siblings Linda, Guilia and Ralph.  Sisters Rose and Josie were born later in Canada.

Predeceased by her parents, brother Ralph and sister Guilia.  

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and will always be in our thoughts.  She will be remembered for her volunteer work at Start Me Up Niagara, her kindness, laughter and love.  

Maria has been cremated and a Celebration of her Life will take place at a later date.
