Obituary of Ruth Martin

Martin, Velma Ruth Isobel (Ruth) - On Friday August 19, 2022, in her 97^th year, Ruth passed away peacefully at McNally House Hospice, in Grimsby, Ontario. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Robert, her parents Edith and Herbert Lindensmith, and her brother Lorne Lindensmith. She will be sadly missed by her children Laurel (Bob), Robert (Sharon), David (Fay), Kathryn (Dan), and James. Ruth was a loving grandmother to David, Andrew, Nathanial, Benjamin, Charlie, Owen, Rebecca, Alexander, Sally, Katrina, and Jacob, and to her great grandchildren Nora, Margo, Shelby, Ruthie, Thea, Piper, Ruby, Arthur, June, Lark, and Luna. Ruth lived a full and active life always seeking new adventures and meeting new friends.

Following a private family interment, a celebration of Ruth’s life will be held for family and friends on Friday, August 26th at the home of Robert Martin at 3658 Lakeshore Road, Vineland Station, from 2-6PM. A heartfelt thank you is extended to Dr. James Woodland, Ruth’s medical care team, and to the staff and volunteers at McNally House Hospice.
