Nola Elaine Himes

Peacefully on Thursday September 1, 2022, at Niagara Health – Niagara Falls Site as a result of a stroke. Born April 23, 1936, to her late parents Leslie & Ann Stirrett and predeceased by her beloved husband Clarence Himes and her brother James Stirrett. Nola will be sadly missed and cherished by her sister Sharon (David Wiebe) and her children - Lesli (Derek Boal), Debbie (Tony Dorey), and David Himes (Janice). Beloved grandmother to Thomas Boal, Victoria (Josh MacDonnell), Bridget and Spencer Dorey, Eric Himes and great grandma to Finley Boal. Will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and other relatives. The family appreciates the loving friendship & support of Alfrey Hodgkins, Barb & Nipper Nash and Nancy & Howie Holland and her many other friends.

Nola worked at St. Catharines Hydro after graduating from high school and then took a break to raise her family. She returned to the workforce joining Sears Canada in their Human Resources department until her retirement. She enjoyed numerous sporting activities including golf where she was a member of the Sawmill Golf & Country Club for many years. Nola & Clarence loved to travel and spend time with their family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Thanks goes out to the staff of Heatherwood Retirement Residence where Nola spent her last year. Special thanks as well to the nurses & doctors at Niagara Health for their compassionate care over the past week. Visitation to take place on Thursday September 8th from 6pm-8pm at Tallman Funeral Home in Vineland (3277 King St., Vineland) with a private interment on Friday September 9th. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Association would be appreciated.
