Obituary of Joyce Audrey McEwan

Joyce Audrey McEwan (nee Bosworth)

March 26, 1922 to September 5, 2022

Joyce passed away early on the morning of September 5, 2022 at Norfinch Community Care in North York, after a short battle with COVID 19.  She celebrated her 100^th birthday on March 26, 2022.

She is survived by her children Frank Spademan (Lisa) and Nancy Albright (Joe), grandchildren Danielle (Neil) Albright and Roberta (Rob) Albright and great-grandson Thomas Ripenburg.

She is predeceased by two husbands Walter G. Spademan (1915-1978) (father of her 3 children),  Hugh F. McEwan (1920-1998) and her youngest daughter Katherine D. Spademan (1952-2021).

Joyce served with the Canadian Women’s Army Corps and graduated from University of Toronto.

We will all miss her friendly manner, her piano playing, and her sociability. She was proud of outliving her sister Gladys Morrison and putting on more years than anyone else in her family.

She will be interred at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens with her husband Hugh.
