Uncle Elmer was a special uncle. He was always delighted to see his nieces and nephews and took time to find out what were were up. A big smile on his face and a big hug! Of course one of my favourite skills that Uncle Elmer had was his ability to do a bark that sounded like a real dog. Many times we’d look around and try to figure out where the dog was. Even up to a few months ago, he obliged over the phone in giving me a hearty bark when I asked! A great and very cool man - and most importantly a devoted follower of Christ. I’ll look forward to seeing him again one day in Heaven. ❤️

Dear Lorna: My heart breaks with yours. Elmer was a man who honoured God and honoured family. He was, indeed, a very special person as you well know. I am proud to have him as Brother-in-law and trusted Christian brother and friend. He was always warm and welcoming to Pat and I and all of our family. So many unforgettable pleasant memories for all of us at your cottage. Elmer could fix anything and was always willing to do so. Thank you for sharing him with us.
------ See you soon Buddy! Love, Jim.

We are soooo sorry for your loss. Soooo often we would be driving down Canonto road and who would we see out for his walk? Elmer. Trekking up and down the road. We would pull over and have a 'catching up' time with him. It was always such a wonderful road visit. His srnse of humour and way of sharing always brough a smile and laughter to our time of sharing. But most of all we will remember his love and passion for Jesus! He will be greatly missed. Our love and prayers are with you all!!!

Such fun & special memories our family had with the Neumann family. For many Christmases the Neumanns would come and stay with us Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. There were so many gifts under the tree, the gifts spilled out from under the tree to half way across the room. If there were any toys that needed to be assembled, uncle Elmer & dad would work together as a team & put the toys together, while drinking spiked eggnog or a tall beer. Summers had been a blast. I learned to ski off of uncle Elmer's boat & dad's boat too. KFC seemed to be everyone's favorite on those hot summers days. We would stop somewhere on the lake & tie both boats together then would chow down on the chicken. Uncle Elmer loved to spray us girls as we bobbed around in my dad's boat. Elmer would ski from the back of his boat, drive by us girls sitting in my dad's boat when a big gush of water hit us. Oh joy! We got soaked! Uncle Elmer, you will be missed. Much love, Shelly!
