I had the great privilege of getting to know Joan working at the retirement home where she lived. She was not only a spiritual sister and friend, but also made me feel like family. I was impressed by how much she loved her family and she was a dedicated mother. I loved hearing about her experiences and her life stories, even her trials in life, she was so dignified and so strong. She was also soft and caring and so appreciative of every little thing you did for her. Joan loved life and shared stories of her work life, her home life and her "night" life - she loved to go dancing! I loved listening to her stories. She always asked how you were, and even instinctively knew before she even asked. I valued her wisdom and advice. She had a great sense of humour, and lots of our time together was spent laughing. She had a twinkle in her eye when she would offer me tea and cookies while I was working. I loved her dearly and miss her terribly, but look forward to Jehovah's future promises, when the time comes for him to restore what he originally intended for us. I look forward to seeing Joan again in paradise, young and healthy and full of life ♥️
