Obituary of Heidi Marie Reimer

Our beloved Mother and Oma peacefully passed away on October 13th surrounded by her children, as she was escorted into glory.

After a long battle with cancer, Heidi is no longer suffering and is now reunited with her husband (George) of 53 years.

She lived a full life of service through her hard work and dedication on the farm, as well as her generosity in the community of which she was involved. Whether it was through nursing, mission work, or even in her own family, her presence filled this community with the love of Jesus. She faced many trials with family hardships and her own health journey, but remained positive and relied on His faithfulness.

Heidi is predeceased by her husband George, her mother Karin Dueck, and grandson Craig. She is survived by her children Christy and Robert (RaeAnn), and grandchildren Chelsea, Caitlyn, Justin, and Abigail.

Many thanks to Sally Baerg and the Palliative Care team for their amazing care while she was at home. A very special thanks to the wonderful doctors, RNs, RPNs, PSWs, and the many volunteers at Hospice Niagara for their extraordinary kindness and care during her time there. 

The service will be held at Cornerstone Community Church (434 Hunter Road) on Tuesday October 18th, 2022. Visitation will be from 1:00pm - 2:00pm, and the funeral will follow at 2:30pm. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Heidi can be made to Hospice Niagara.
