Obituary of Colin Blyth

RICHARD COLIN WOLFRAN BLYTH, May 17, 1929 to May 13, 2023. 

 

Colin passed away peacefully, with his daughters at his bedside.

 

Colin was born and raised in Colchester, England and met the love of his life, Ann, working in a bank in London. He married Ann Lewis on February 11th, 1956. They immigrated to Canada in 1957, settling in Toronto, then raising their family in Mississauga. Colin was a dedicated employee of the Royal Bank of Canada, in the downtown branch, for over 30 years. 

 

Predeceased by his wife, Colin will be deeply missed by his daughters Jane (Jeff) Paterson, Alison (Steve) Bonnyman and Hilary Blyth; grandchildren Sarah (Matt), Mackenzie (Elyssa), Blythe, Clare, Evan (Mel) James and Anna; great grandchildren Madison, Jackson, Cameron, Audrey and Charlotte.

 

Colin enjoyed motor car racing, mucking about improving the cottage and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.  Upon retirement to Vineland they enjoyed a great community of friends and traveled abroad.    

 

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff at CAMA Woodlands LTC Home, Burlington, for their care.

 

Funeral will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 156 Main St. W. Grimsby on Sunday June 4th @1:30, with a reception to follow in the church hall.

 

In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
