Robert Bosma

Obituary of Robert Bosma

Robert Bosma January 24, 1960 – May 31, 2023

When all the days formed for him had passed, the Lord took to Himself His faithful servant, Robert Bosma, in his 64th year.  Robert leaves his beloved wife, Renee, his son and daughter-in-law Cory and Ruth and their children Tyson, Chloe, April and Meghan, his son Lucas, his mother Wilma Bosma, his brother and sister-in-law Alvin and Elsie Bosma, his sister Marlene Elzinga, his brother and sister-in-law Sid and Fran.  He also leaves his father-in-law and mother-in-law Ray and Christine Sikkema, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lambert and Liz Sikkema, Dick and Charlene Wynia, Dave and Anita Sikkema, Ted and Audrey Sikkema, Ray and Christine Sikkema, Dan and Fran Tigchelaar, and many nephews and nieces.  Robert was predeceased by brother Mark and sister Elaine, as well as by his father, Case and his brother-in-law Simon Elzinga.

Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He loved to be busy, working in his shop as well as on many home improvement projects.  He also enjoyed working together with Cory and Lucas on various projects, and spending time with his grandchildren.  Robert lived by faith in the gospel, and by grace, he learned to be content, in any and every circumstance.  He was encouraged by God’s promises during his first battle with cancer in 2007, and when the time came to say good-bye to those who loved him so very much, he was comforted in the knowledge that he belonged, body and soul, in life and in death to his faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

The family would like to express our thanks to the staff at Juravinski for the care that Robert received.

Visitation will take place at Vineland Free Reformed Church on Saturday June 3rd from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. The funeral service will take place at Vineland Free Reformed Church on Monday June 5th at 11am.
