Obituary of Jack Philbrick

Jack passed away peacefully on October 26^th, 2023, in his 81^st year,  surrounded by family. His family finds solace in believing that he’s now able to do the things that he’s been robbed of these past few years and hopes that he’s sitting at a card table in the big barn in heaven, double-suited, Ace high, with both bowers in one hand, and a cold drink in the other.

He is survived by his three children, Krista, John and Trevor and eight wonderful grandchildren. Jack worked hard and played hard. He was a successful farmer, growing some of the best plums, peaches, pears and apples in the region over his many decades working the land. When he wasn’t tending to his crops he was busy having fun, whether it be in the barn playing cards and laughing with friends after a long day’s work or on a snowmobile trail in the winter. Jack’s razor-sharp wit was unparalleled and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
