June Mann

We are sad to announce the passing of June Mann (Cook) on January 5th, 2024; but rejoice that she has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. High school sweetheart and loving wife of 60 years to John. Loving mother to Jennifer (Rob) Schroeder, Alison (Stephen) Thompson, and Christine (Chris) Ropp. She was loved and adored by her grandchildren: Emily, Kaitie, Jessie (Aidan); Claire, Sydney, Carter; Sawyer and Wyatt. She was predeceased by her parents James and Mary, and her brother Jim.

June was born in Glasgow, Scotland on May 31, 1941. Her family moved to Canada in 1948 and eventually settled in St. Catharines. June and John were married in 1964. She worked at Canada Trust until her girls were born.

June was a gentle spirited, beautiful woman who devoted her life to her family.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation with the family at Northend Church, 455 Geneva Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, January 10th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, January 11th at 11am at Northend Church.

A special thank you from her family to the staff at Hospice Niagara, Jennifer from St. Elizabeth’s, and Dr. Yurkewich for their care.
