Obituary of Shirley Carol Stephen

Shirley Carol Stephen – At Macassa Lodge in Hamilton, on December 27th, two days after her 85th birthday. Born in Bebington, England, she lived in Ruthin, Wales during WW II. Shirley and Morris resided in the Vineland – Beamsville - Grimsby area. She was a nurse in Wales, and later a Canadian Red Cross homemaker. A March of Dimes assisted living resident for fourteen years, Shirley was at Macassa Lodge for eight years. Shirley was active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Beamsville's Trinity United Church, and Hamilton's St. John & St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. She loved pets, birdwatching, gardening, baking, and creating exceptional needlework. She is survived by Ivan of St. Catharines, and Anita (Bill) of Orangeville. After cremation, visitation will be at Tallman Funeral Home, 3277 King St., Vineland, on Saturday, January 7th beginning at 1pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm. If desired, donations may be made to the Ontario March of Dimes.
