Julien, Bruce Edward - Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9 at Albright Manor, Beamsville in his 90th year. Loving husband of Caroline for 60 years. Loving father of Donald (Cathy) Julien of Fountain Valley, CA and daughter Elaine (Paul ) Carey of Virgil. Special grandfather of Adam Hepburn, Jenna and Daniel Julien, Trevor, Amber and Brandon Carey. Predeceased by his parents, Nelson & Grace Julien and sisters Gladys Julien, Bessie (Arthur) Dayfoot and Alice (Eric) Mott. Bruce had a special love for music. He started his singing career at age 6 singing in public. He went on to play the violin, viola, bass fiddle and tuba. He played Sunday concerts with Fred Willett at Queenston Heights and was a member of the Lincoln Concert Band for 50 years. He also played in a number of dance bands. Bruce taught school at Lower Thirty and then Jacob Beam Public School. He was an active member of St.Andrew's Presbyterian Church being choir director for many years and soloist. He was a member of the Board of Managers and then became an Elder. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 15 at 11:00am at St.Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 4260 Queen St. Beamsville with visitation one hour prior. A heart-felt thank you to the 4th floor staff at Albright Manor for their loving care. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Albright Foundation or St.Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
