Obituary of Robert Wilson

Wilson, Robert Alan (Al) - The world has lost a kind and gentle soul with the passing of Al Wilson on March 13, 2014 in his 63rd year. Al died peacefully at home surrounded with love. Left behind, with gratitude for the years they spent together and the many happy memories she will cherish is, his wife, Bobby. Also left are his mother, Lois, daughters Andrea (Mike Botkin), Brandi (Eric Niedling), step-daughters Shannon MacAulay (Alex Boulet) and Kirsten MacAulay (Jeff Bignell) and six wonderful grandchildren. Al was predeceased by his father, Don. Those who have shared in Al's life know what he was - a strong, solid person you could depend on, no matter what. He saw the best in everyone and brought out the best in them. Mostly, a quiet guy, but a wicked sense of humor and the best laugh ever. How we will miss that laugh. A Celebration of Al's life will take place on Saturday, March 22 at 11:00am at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King Street, Vineland. An opportunity to visit the family will take place following the service in the Fireside Room adjacent to Tallman's with a family interment to follow at Mount Osborne Cemetery in Beamsville. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the wonderful Palliative Care Team and all their associates who have supported us and made these last months a time of peace and sharing for all of us but, particularly for Al. We would appreciate donations to be sent to McNally House, Grimsby, a resource our community is privileged to have.
