Obituary of Isobel Ayre

AYRE, Isobel Best - In her 95th year at Tufford Manor in St. Catharines on January 12, 2015. Born in Greenock, Scotland on November 6, 1919. Survived by sister Iris Houtby (Bill) and nephews, Roy Houtby (Linda Taylor), Wayne Houtby (Tineke) and nieces Jan Parsons (Graham), and Ruth Houtby. Predeceased by her parents, James and Jessie Ayre; brother James and sister Jessie. Also survived by 8 great nieces and nephews, Jenn Houtby-Ferguson (Rick), Joanne Tenyenhuis (Steve), Brad Malton (Michelle), Greg Malton (Julie), Matthew Houtby, Adam Parsons (Laurie), Scott and Alex Parsons. Isobel was a lifetime member of Knox Presbyterian Church and enjoyed many years at Niagara-On-The-Lake Golf Club. Special thanks to the staff at Tufford Manor Nursing Home. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 19th at 2 pm at WEST ST. ANDREWS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 42 Pelham Rd., St. Catharines. A reception and family visitation to follow. Memorial donations to Knox Presbyterian Church.
