Obituary of Eileen Merritt

MERRITT, Eileen (Groh, Horne) Retired RN- Absent from the body, present with the Lord. At Albright Manor, Beamsville on Monday, February 16, 2015, Eileen Merritt, aged 93 years, passed peacefully with family present. Pre-deceased by her husband, Art Horne (1959) and Dan Merritt (2005). Survived by children, Susan (Dave) Dodgson, Dorothy (John) Davies, Ruth (Don) Smith, Catherine (Dave) Good and Bill (Julie) Horne, Ken (Jean) Merritt, Bruce(Margaret) Merritt and Ralph (Sonja) Merritt, 32 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and sister Mildred Nigh and sister-in-law Isabel Groh. Pre-deceased by her parents, Norman and Ida Groh and her six siblings. The family is most appreciative for the compassionate care provided to their Mom by the staff of Albright Manor. The family will receive friends at the VINELAND CHAPEL of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St., Vineland on Wednesday, February 18th, from 3-5 and 7-8:30. The Funeral Service will be at Calvary Gospel Church, 4129 Hixon St, Beamsville on Thursday, February 19th at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Osborne Cemetery, Beamsville. If desired, donations to the Gideons or Wycliffe, Canada would be appreciated by the family.
