Obituary of William Honsberger

HONSBERGER, William Christopher - At The Orchards in Vineland on Friday, May 1st, 2015, Christopher Honsberger, aged 95 years. Predeceased by his wife Myrtle in 2004. He is survived by his daughter Linda and her husband Carman Alexander of St. Catharines. His son David predeceased him in February of 2013. Also survived by daughter in law Mary Ellen. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Chris was a longtime resident of Jordan Station and an active participant in both the community and Jordan Station United Church life. He worked for Ontario Hydro until retirement in 1980. Chris had many interests. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, gardening, woodworking, photography, travel and nature and he was generous in sharing his talents with others. He, together with his wife Myrtle, were world travelers. He will be sadly missed by many but will be remembered for his kindness and his integrity. The family will receive friends at the VINELAND CHAPEL of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St. on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-8:30 pm. A Mason for 60 years, Ivy Lodge #115 Beamsville will hold a service at 6:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Vineland Chapel on Wednesday, May 6th at 11 am with a reception to follow in the Fireside Room. Interment at Oaklawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to "Dream Centre Ministries" in support of our orphanage in India, would be appreciated by the family.
