Stevenson, Bertrum Milton Devine - On Monday, March 7, 2016 at Linhaven Home, St.Catharines, Bert Stevenson, aged 82 years. Survived by his wife Julia and their children: Son - Michael & Melanie Stevenson and their family : Shawn & Kim Stevenson (Karen and Trisha), Rodney & Kristel Stevenson (Blake and Aleasha), Julia (Stevenson) & Ryan Fulton (Hannah, Brayden, Aubree, Zoey), Amanda (Stevenson) & Craig Schmidt (Sophie and Kayleigh), Anita Stevenson; Daughter - Carol Stevenson & Wayne Caicco and their family: Christah Williams & Kevin, Audrey, Joseph Grubb and Trish, Eric Bertrand, Alexis Bertrand and Mitch; Son - Neil Stevenson & Katherine Bachelor and their family: Jennifer Stevenson and Justin, Jessica (Stevenson) & Scott Dean (Amber, Parker and Logan), Nathan Stevenson, Michael Stevenson; Daughter - Judy (Stevenson) & Ron McLaughlin and their family: Holli (Stevenson) & Brent Cummings (Jack and Alice); and Son - Gary & Theresa Stevenson and their family: Rebecca, Emma, and Jake. Also survived by his siblings Melvin Stevenson and Helen Nickason. Predeceased by brothers and sisters: Eleanor Honsberger, Evelyn Price, Luella Montgomery, Mildred French, Hilda Cowan, Bernard Stevenson. Born in Muskoka in 1933, Bert moved to Niagara at a young age and met his wife, Julia. They married August 28, 1954 and raised their 5 children in the Vineland/Campden area. He retired as Fire Chief for Lincoln District 2 Campden. He worked over 20 years for Sears and moved to Port Sydney to build his retirement home. Family will receive friends at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., Vineland on Friday, March 11 from 2-4, 7-8:30pm. Funeral Service will take place in the chapel on Saturday, March 12, at 11:00am, with cremation to follow. Donations to the Alzheimers Society would be greatly appreciated.
