Obituary of Jelle Fekkes

Fekkes, Jelle (John) May 5, 1927 – November 26, 2018 In his 92nd year, Jelle passed from this life into the presence of his Lord and Saviour.  Beloved husband of Hendrika for 28 years.  Predeceased earlier by his first wife Ger, after 36 years of marriage. Dear father of John and JoAnn Fekkes (Chris and Michelle, Jaclyn and Lee, Michael and Melissa, Nicholas and Melissa) Ineke and Rick Hoogendam (Karin and Holly, Kevin and Jennifer, Stephanie and Sean, Sharon and David) Irene and Wil Bootsma (Esther and Alex, Ashley and John, Nathan and Caitlyn, Ryan) Joanne and Jim Prinsen (James and Kirsten, Darren and Izabel, Jillian and Derek) Pieter Leyenhorst (Lauren, Luke, Casey), Linda and Ray Lanning (Marion, James, Loretta, Evie) John and Helena Leyenhorst (Jonathan, Michelle, Kristina, Nicole) Henry Leyenhorst (Hunter), Andy and Wanda Bakker (Samuel, Daniel, Mary) David and Connie Bakker (Leah, Mandy, Caleb) Janet and Ton Schmidt (Martijn), Nick and Kathryn Bakker (Ben, Evan). Opa will be lovingly remembered by his 47 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Anna, Jurriana (Henk+), (Wim+) Truus (Ed+), Johan and Eline, Wilhelmina and Andre all residing in the Netherlands.

Jelle’s family will receive family and friends at Vineland Free Reformed Church, 3685 King Street, Vineland, Ontario on Friday November 30, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm.  A celebration of Jelle’s life will be held on Saturday December 1, 2018 at 11:00 am at Vineland Free Reformed Church.  If desired memorial donations may be made to the Gideons International of Canada.
