Obituary of Cornelius Penner

Penner, Cornelius - It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Cornelius (Neil) Penner, on December 31, 2018, at the age of 83, at Hospice Niagara, St.Catharines, with his children Tom, Sherrill, Shelley and brother Rudy at his side.  He was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and shortly after suffered a stroke.  

Neil was born on January 12, 1935, in Glenbush, SK.  He is survived by his children Tom, Sherri, and Shelley and his brother Rudy and sisters Marion and Agnes and five grandchildren.  Predeceased by David, Marg, Haiti and Sue.  

With Neil's wishes, cremation has taken place.  A service in celebration of Neil's life will be held on Saturday, January 12 at 2:00p.m. at Calvary Church, 89 Scott St., St.Catharines.  Visitation will be held at the church before the service from 1:00-1:45p.m. There will light refreshments following the service.  If desired, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Niagara at hospiceniagara.ca or 403 Ontario St., St.Catharines L2N 1L5, where the care for Neil in his final days was exceptional.
