Alice Fousert

Obituary of Alice Fousert

Fousert, Alice - On Tuesday, late in the afternoon, the Lord called home Alice Fousert (nee Otten) the beloved wife of Frank Fousert, beloved mother of Darren (Alisha), Richard (Talaina), and Ryan (Emily), grandmother to Jesse, Sydney, Elijah, Lily, Tobias, Riley, and Rogan, and cherished daughter of Chris Otten and daughter-in-law of Gary Fousert. She is also survived by her four sisters and two brothers. Alice has lived with her husband of 32 years in Wellandport since 1989. She was a compassionate person and devoted to her church and family. This was seen as she dedicated her spare time to organizing the Tuesday morning bible study at Zion Free Reformed Church, and working with her husband in Frank's Electric Motor Shop. Alice sometimes taught piano and organ, but she was better known for being an organist for nearly 40 years. Alice dearly loved to sing and during her time of illness, her family often sang songs together around her bed. Alice will be sorely missed and her memory will be cherished by her friends and family alike. The family will receive friends at the Zion Free Reformed Church, 1075 Boyle Rd., Fenwick, on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Interment will take place at Vineland Cemetery on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 12pm. The Memorial Service will be at the church at 2pm. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Heritage Christian School. Psalms 73:24-26, You will guide me with your council, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? There is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
