Karen Kolodziejczak

Obituary of Karen Jean Kolodziejczak

KOLODZIEJCZAK (Todd), KAREN - April 11th, 1959 - May 14th, 2022

Peacefully, at Juravinski Hospital after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by family.

Karen was a great maker of things. She was a talented sewist; her quilts will keep us warm for the rest of our days. Karen had a love for baking and was unafraid to try new recipes in the kitchen if it meant she could share them with the people she loved. She was a teacher who loved to share her talents and hobbies with family, friends, and coworkers. She loved tap dancing and road trips and drinking coffee in her sunroom each morning, looking out at the escarpment. We were blessed to have her in our lives and the hole she leaves in our hearts can never be filled.

She will be missed immensely by her husband Zak/Frank, her daughter, Kim (Mat) and children Grant, Penny, and Hannah, her daughter, Lindsey (Shervin) and daughter Ramona, and son, Zachary (Nikki) and children Eli, Dylan, and Benjamin. Karen will also be missed by her beloved Dancing Queens.

The family will receive friends at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King Street on Wednesday, May 25th from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, May 26th at 1pm. Memorial donations may be made in Karen’s name to the Hamilton Public Library at hpl.ca/donations.
