Obituary of Hedwig Biechele

Biechele, Hedwig - of St.Catharines, Ontario, at the age of 93 years, passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side, on September 10, 2022 at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital.

Hedy was born in Adelsheim, Ukraine on December 24, 1928 to Heinrich and Helena Rempel. She came to Canada in 1949 where she worked as a hairdresser, and was an active member of St.Catharines United Mennonite Church.

Hedy is survived by her daughter Heidy Peragine of Ancaster, her grandsons Mitchell, Cole (Karley), and Kip, her loving nephews Walter (Tim) and Victor ( Shannon) and daughter Adalyn, her cousin Anna Wiens (Rudy) and their children William ( Amber) and children Carter and Lauren, Lilette and her twins Ella and Henry, Derek ( Amber) and their children Greyson and Gavin, and her beloved cousin Albert Rempel ( Bonnie).

Hedy is predeceased by her brother Henry ( Else) and her sister Mary Krause ( Paul).

Visitation and funeral service will be held at St. Catharines United Mennonite Church 335 Linwell Rd on Tuesday, September 13 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the service, with Reverend Randy Klaassen officiating. All are welcome. Cremation to follow with a committal service held at a later date.
