Obituary of Irma Voth

Irmgard (Irma) Voth, was warmly welcomed home by her Saviour on October 6th 2022, at the age of 89.

Irma will be greatly missed by so many for her big hugs, silly sense of humour and the kindness she showed to all. She lived a long abundant life and though she overcame many hardships she always expressed immense gratitude and love for her life, family and many friendships including her church community of St. Catharines United Mennonite. 

Predeceased by her husband Heinrich, sister LydchenBaerg(Jacob), Gerhard (Anna) Friesen, Anni (Helmuth) Thiede.

Survived her brothers Brother Franz (Auguste) Friesen, Jacob (Leni) Friesen, sons Henry (Linda) Voth and Theodore (Debbie) Voth, daughter Erika (Harmut), and grandchildren Ronnie (Sarah) Voth, Megan (Tim) Voth, Gordon Penner, Mark Penner, Christopher Penner. 

We are so thankful for the wonderful staff at Lindenhaus and for the phenomenal care and support from day nurses Diana, Tracey and Tisha. 

A special thank you to Dr.Tang and the exceptional nursing staff on floor 3A of the St.Catharines General Hospital who took such great care of her in her final days. 

A visitation will be at St.Catharines United Mennonite Church, 335 Linwell Rd, St. Catharines on Thursday, October 13th from 10-11am followed by a service at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).
