Diane, Lora and family
I was saddened to hear about uncle Rex’s passing. Fortunately I have many fond memories from times our families spent together.
Christmas Eve at Borden Street eating baked beans, fish cakes and Aunt Mae’s Birthday cake. Boxing Day on Parsons Road with all the youngsters sent to play in the basement. Vacations, barbecues, picking blue berries in Brigus and Uncle Rex dropping over on his Saturday walk just in time for a bowl of soup and a “nip” with dad. Remembering his laugh still makes me smile.
Wishing we were closer during this time.
Love Mark and Kim

Dear Diane, Lora and families
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle Rex. The last of Nanny's grand brood.
I have many fond memories of our visits over the years in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Ontario (Belleville, London and Vineland). His smile and laugh was infectious and was the ultimate source of laughter and much joy.
Big virtual hugs to all of you. Wish we were closer.
Love Cousin Brenda & Steve

On behalf of the Master, Officers and Brethren of Saint John's Masonic Lodge No 1, we wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to the family of our departed Brother. Rex was a cornerstone of our Lodge for many years and was sorely missed following his move to Ontario to be closer to his family. Many of our more senior brethren remember him well and have a deep respect for his contribution to our fraternity and the community generally. Rest in Peace Brother Rex.

Diane, Lora and Families. Rex, your dad, knew how to enjoy life, have a good laugh and was a great salesman;
he could have worked for Dale Carnegie.
I'm thinking of you and know you'll always cherish the love your Dad had for you all.
My sincere sympathy and prayers, Aunt Inez

So sad to hear of Uncle Rex’s passing. I have so many great memories of him, mostly from our countless visits on Parson’s Road in St. John’s, and more recently at our family reunions. Hard to believe all Nan Smith’s children have left us. Thinking of you and your families at this time.
Love Cousin Glenn, Danielle & Kaitlin
