Henry Hage

Obituary of Henry Hage

Hage, Henry (Hank)  - It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Henry (Hank) Hage who passed away in his 73rd year on Sunday, July 23, 2023, surrounded by his beloved family. Hank was a man of many talents and shared his curiosity, knowledge and joy for living with all he encountered.  A country boy at heart, he found his calling in farming.  An avid fisherman he was always ready to drop a line in the water and was well known for his many stories shared with laughter and a twinkle in his eye. He had a very soft heart and a generous spirit ready to help others whenever needed. Without a doubt, his greatest love was his family.  He led by example teaching us unconditional love.  A gift we will carry and practice lovingly in his memory. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 21 years, Helen (Murphy-Hage), his children Michael (Sandra), Pamela (Danny), Benjamin (Jenn), Samantha, his step children Rick (David), Jenn (Aron); grandchildren Richard, Kameron (Alexandra), Alexis, Harrison, Elizabeth, Hudson, William, Hazel and Cora and the most recent addition to the family, great-grandson, Henley.  Dear brother of Johannes Hage (Margaret) of St. Catharines, Elizabeth Travis (Stan) of St. Ann’s, Mary Hage of St. Catharines and dear brother-in-law of Robert Viau of Brockville.  Hank is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Pieter Hage (1974) and Maria (van Andel) (1994); his brother, Peter Hage (2002) and sister Wilhelmina Viau (2011). Family and friends may call at Tallman Funeral Home, Vineland Chapel 3277 King St. Vineland on Thursday, July 27th, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, July 28, 2023 @ 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society in Hank’s memory would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
