Robert (Bob) Stephen Tkachuk

It is with broken hearts that the family of Robert (Bob) Stephen Tkachuk announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother at his home on Friday, January 12 in his 69th year.

Bob was predeceased by his father William (Bill) Tkachuk in 1988 at the age of 68 and his dear mother Katherine (Kay) Tkachuk in 2021 at the age of 96. He is survived by his 3 siblings: Bruce (Kathy), Dorothy Jane and Jim (Terry) as well as three nieces, a nephew and many cousins. 

Bob was a lifelong resident of St. Catharines and a longtime employee at GM until he took early retirement in his mid fifties. He sure did enjoy his retirement! He had a love of fast cars, motorcycles, old movies and spending time with friends and family.

Bob will always be remembered as a big sweet guy with a generous heart, a kind spirit and an enormous love for his family. He was a devoted son who selflessly spent nearly every day at the bedside of our mother in her final years. 

It gives us great comfort knowing that he knew how much he was loved and appreciated by all of us. 

Cremation has taken place. Bob’s ashes will be interred at the gravesite of his beloved mother where it is only fitting that they rest together for eternity. A Celebration of Life will be planned in the spring when the interment can be done. Friends and extended family members who wish to attend or participate are invited to contact us for further details. 

Bob’s loss has left a giant void in our hearts and he will be deeply missed for the rest of our lives.
